Chess Board

Here is a concept of a chess board made out of metal and PMMA instead of wood as it is usually the case .
Each figure seats on a aluminium square backlighted by a see thru PMMA plate framed with Led bands , allowing each player to choose his chess board back ground color .
The figures are composed of 3 pieces , bottom and top being made of aluminium fully CNC machined and a center piece made out of stainless steel mirror polished .the all assembly count 181 parts and 164 screw , the art piece took 300 hours of work to be accomplished .
